Automation Engineer (Python / Mission Automation)

Location: Columbia, MD
Compensation Range: $210,000 – $260,000 (annualized USD)
Clearance Required: Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.

You’ll design, develop, and maintain automation workflows that enable mission-critical processes and improve operational efficiency. This position requires deep technical expertise in Python development, data parsing, and network systems, along with strong communication skills to collaborate with diverse mission stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop automated workflows and Python-based tools.

  • Conduct data parsing and manipulation to support analytic needs.

  • Develop and document technical tradecraft and operational processes.

  • Perform vulnerability analysis and provide technical recommendations.

  • Collaborate directly with users to refine automation requirements.

Skills Requirements:

  • Strong experience with Python development and scripting.

  • Familiarity with networking protocols and data manipulation.

  • Experience using Git and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).

  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.

  • Experience analyzing and optimizing automation pipelines.

Nice to Haves:

  • Background in exploitation analysis or vulnerability research.

  • Familiarity with mission dataflow and SIGINT systems.

  • Experience with CI/CD integration and containerized workflows.

Education & Experience Requirement:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline OR 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
12+ years of relevant professional experience.

Compensation & Employment Policy:

Salary at Intezra is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $210,000 to $260,000 (annualized USD).
