Automation Engineer (Python / Vulnerability Research)

Location: Columbia, MD
Compensation Range: $210,000 – $260,000 (annualized USD)
Clearance Required: Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.

You’ll design, develop, and sustain automation workflows supporting mission systems and vulnerability research initiatives. This position requires deep expertise in Python, data processing, and networking, combined with analytical and creative problem-solving skills to deliver robust automation solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Python-based automations and scripts.

  • Perform vulnerability analysis and document new technical tradecraft.

  • Execute on customer-driven requirements and technical requests.

  • Conduct open-source research to enhance data analysis and system efficiency.

  • Collaborate with engineers and mission users to refine and implement automation strategies.

Skills Requirements:

  • Strong Python development experience.

  • Proficiency with data parsing, manipulation, and analysis.

  • Familiarity with networking protocols and Linux systems.

  • Experience using Git, Jira, and Confluence.

  • Excellent technical communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Haves:

  • Background in exploitation analysis, vulnerability research, or cyber defense.

  • Experience with mission dataflows and SIGINT systems.

  • Familiarity with containerized workflows or CI/CD environments.

Education & Experience Requirement:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline OR 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
12+ years of relevant professional experience.

Compensation & Employment Policy:

Salary at Intezra is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $210,000 to $260,000 (annualized USD).
