Software Engineer (DevOps / Automation Focus)

Location: Columbia, MD
Compensation Range: $210,000 – $260,000 (annualized USD)
Clearance Required: Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.

Description:

You’ll design, develop, and sustain CI/CD infrastructure and automation capabilities that support complex operational environments. Working closely with mission stakeholders, you’ll help define requirements, build infrastructure-as-code deployments, and ensure the reliability and scalability of enterprise-level systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code deployments in production environments.

  • Automate build, deployment, and monitoring pipelines using modern DevOps tools.

  • Manage GitLab CI/CD infrastructure and associated integrations.

  • Collect and analyze system metrics to improve software performance and resiliency.

  • Collaborate with analysts and engineers to deploy end-to-end solutions for mission operations.

Skills Requirements:

  • Extensive experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Packer, Ansible).

  • Experience with Docker or other containerization technologies.

  • Strong development experience in Linux environments.

  • Familiarity with structured databases (PostgreSQL, SQLite).

  • Background in site reliability engineering and system observability.

Nice to Haves:

  • Scripting experience (Python, Go, JavaScript, Bash).

  • Experience deploying and running open-source tools in classified environments.

  • Familiarity with Svelte, OpenTelemetry, or OpenObserve.

  • Prior CNO experience.

Education & Experience Requirement:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline OR 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
12+ years of relevant professional experience.

Compensation & Employment Policy:

Salary at Intezra is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $210,000 to $260,000 (annualized USD).
