In this role, you will design and support data models across multiple database technologies to answer complex infrastructure and operational questions. You will collaborate closely with analytics engineers and subject matter experts to ensure data accuracy, scalability, and usability, while iterating rapidly in a highly collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize queries and data structures for performance, scalability, and reliability.

  • Partner with analytics engineers to shape how data models support reporting, analysis, and decision-making.

  • Translate analytical and operational questions into effective database design solutions.

  • Implement governance rules and validation checks to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance.

  • Support ongoing iteration of data models as requirements evolve.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple teams to gather requirements and refine solutions.

  • Document data models, schemas, and design decisions to support long-term maintainability.

Skills Requirements

  • Proven experience working with OLAP, graph, and document-based database technologies (e.g., ClickHouse, Neo4j, Elasticsearch or similar).

  • Strong background in schema design, query optimization, and analytics support.

  • Ability to translate complex analytical questions into scalable data modeling solutions.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Experience supporting production data systems in dynamic environments.

Nice to Haves

  • General software engineering experience, including DevOps, ETL pipelines, or web application support.

  • Familiarity with Git and GitLab workflows.

  • Experience using Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence.

  • Experience working in environments that require frequent iteration and stakeholder collaboration.

Education & Experience Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline and 12+ years of relevant professional experience
    OR

  • 16+ years of relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree
